At Douglas Foundation Repair, we make it easy to transfer warranties to the new owner of your home or business.

Our Warranties are 100% Transferrable

We understand that many of our clients undergo a foundation repair because of an upcoming sale. It is our goal to make your life easier and give both the seller and the buyer peace of mind knowing that we will stand behind our foundation work.

After the foundation warranty is properly transferred, Douglas Foundation Repair agrees to issue to the new homebuyer the foundation repair warranty. In exchange for Douglas Foundation Repair issuing the foundation repair warranty to the new homebuyer, the new homebuyer agrees to be bound by all the terms and conditions of the original foundation warranty terms and contract.

Quick and Easy Warranty Transfer Application

To transfer a warranty:

  1. Before the day of sale, the homebuyer must download a copy of the Warranty Transfer Application or contact our office to receive a paper copy of the application. You will need to complete this document at the time of sale and it must be notarized.
  2. At the time of sale, the homebuyer must complete and sign the Warranty Transfer Application and get the application notarized.
  3. The warranty transfer fee is $200.00 and is not negotiable. Write a check for $200 payable to Douglas Foundation Repair.
    NOTE: No transfer fee is required if the property is sold within 180 days of project completion. However, the transfer application by the new property owner is still required within 30 days of closing escrow.
  4. The homebuyer mails the completed, signed and notarized Warranty Transfer Application and the $200.00 check (if applicable) to:

If a warranty is not properly transferred within 30 days of the deed transfer, it will expire and become non-transferable. Expired warranties will NOT be honored.
